Lorna-Mary Webb – Company Manager

Lorna-Mary joined Rhubarb-Rhubarb 6 years ago and is now the lynchpin which holds the International Review together and organises the team which supports all of Rhubarb's events throughout the year. With a background in the events industry, LM has now developed her skills in photography and the image world. She reviews work, organises and sits on various judging panels including the Rhubarb bursary scheme and a wide range of mentoring activities offered by the company, such as regional and international projects profiling the work of West Midlands photographers.  LM loves music, tattoos, cooking, dancing, football and laughing amongst other things.

Sean McGarry - Information Officer

Spring of 2005. Memorable because Sean joined the rhubarb team. He started off in a voluntary capacity, but by the Autumn of that year he was on the payroll. His talents and tasks range from general adminstration duties, to being Lorna's faithful assistant and making all the travel arrangements for the review. An emerging photographic artist, Sean completed the Creative Alliance After Hours programme in 2006. He is currently working on new projects , one of which was published in Endframe in the British Journal of Photography in April 2008.

Sebah Chaudhry - Festival Assistant

Seb volunteered for Rhubarb during the review in 2004 & 2005. After showing off her skills and the ability to stay calm in all circumstances, we asked her to be the Portfolio Queen in 2006. Here she discovered her motto regarding stress free portfolio sessions, to be “firm, but nice” at all times. This attitude got her an invitation to FOTOBILD, Berlin, where her and her partner-in-crime Jo Burrows apparently ‘kicked ass’. Rhubarb, not wanting to lose out, reluctantly hired her back in April 2007.... Seb is a keen photographer and traveller (and openly welcomes any invitations to more festivals :). She is also the photographer for an upcoming dance company, KIP. Her collection of art is increasing too as she cannot resist buying images from Rhubarb Auctions.

Sarah Dearnley - Head Of Accounts

Sarah was born in the far off lands of “Up North” a few years ago (not saying how many) and came down the M6 to Birmingham to study music at the Conservatoire. Following many studious hours spent in the pub next door and clutching degree in hand, Sarah took an assistant manager job with Bass Taverns, eventually becoming a licensee. After several years running pubs Sarah tried various options with jobs in such diverse fields as bus driving, security and selling tyres and exhausts. It was purely by luck that Sarah was asked to help out looking after some company accounts (“It’s just a bit of input Sarah”). After six months training, Sarah decided to start up a small bookkeeping business. A few years down the line she now has a large and varied client base and joined the the Rhubarb team in November 2006 - “It is certainly different from working in a corporate environment..." Sarah is now expanding her business and is joined at Rhubarb by her new accomplice, Matt Gardner.

Ed Barrett-Bourmier - Designer

Ed joined Rhubarb in October 2007 and has brought delight and entertainment to the Rhubarb office ever since. He also has the gift of youth, and good looks on his side! Ed is currently studying Visual Arts at Birmingham City University and works part time at Selfridges’. When he has a free day/afternoon/hour we coax him into Rhubarb and he designs our internal marketing and helps maintain the Rhubarb website and MySpace. He is mentored by Ian Richards at Heavy Object on Rhubarb projects and work done at Rhubarb will go towards his accreditation for his degree. Ed likes to skate, take photos, dress up, flirt and have a lot of fun.
